End of year goals

when i became a mom, i started a blog as an easy way to share updates on his life and also track his growth and everything he was learning to do. I did it for about ten years before I hung up the towel.

I kind of miss it. There is a rawness to a blog post. They’re a little less polished. I thought I would revive the blog and bring it back for my writing journey.

I’ll use this space to keep you updated on releases, events, and everything noteworthy.

But it will also be a place for you to see behind the veil. I’ll share my struggles, my wins, and my personal thoughts on various topics.

So here it goes.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my end of year goals. Maybe it was writing a book that counts down to january and the new year. Maybe it’s because it’s november and the end of the year is looming. it’s Funny (maybe slightly depressing) to look back on the goals I made at the beginning of the year. I can confirm I live in a world of a delusion.

If I only look at the goals I set, i didn’t get anything accomplished this year. most of what i wanted to do is still left unchecked. however, if i look back, i did a lot. i released three books. i wrote two books and started a third. i went to book cons and book signings where people lined up to see me. talk about a dream come true.

to say i did nothing because i didn’t cross it off a list is silly. part of me wants to give up the whole process of writing down goals because whether they get reached or not, i’m still closer to them with each step i take.

the other part me doesn’t want to stop dreaming and hoping no matter how tough it is to not “make it”.

There are seven and a half weeks left in the year. Probably more like six because i doubt I will get much work done over the holidays. it’s a lot time and not a lot at the same time. i want to be realistic here but i also want to stretch myself and see what i can do.

2025 EOY GOALS:

  1. 5k followers on IG – out of my hands but i’m throwing it out there.
  2. finish drafting NU5 – this is a big one. it probably won’t happen because i have so many other projects i want to work on too. if i can get to the 70% mark i would be thrilled.
  3. finish updating my website. i’ve done a lot of work over the past month but there is still so much i want to do. the main thing is setting up a page for each book. they are available now but the information is sparse.
  4. add all ebooks to libraries. i’ve done two and I have three more to go.
  5. plot nu6 and nu7 – i’m writing them a little now but i would love to have a better outline to work with.
  6. plan arc team launch – in 2026 i am redoing my arc team (if you are already on it, don’t be nervous. you will need to reapply but that doesn’t mean you won’t be selected again). i want to set up better guidelines, expectations, resources, etc… it will be better than before.

I could probably list out more things but lets be real, this is a lot. probably more than i could ever accomplish when you add in family obligations and personal time.

I will keep you updated on my progress. Maybe a weekly update here?
